Beach Driving permits will be sold by the Town of Topsail Beach beginning October 1, 2019 and continue through March. Beach driving permits are only issued to four wheel drive vehicles and are for fishing purposes only. Pleasure riding on the beach is not allowed. Anyone caught driving on the beach without a permit will be ticketed and escorted off the beach.
The Town will be starting a large scale beach nourishment project in November 2019. Therefore, there will be times during the season that the beach will be closed to vehicles, even with a valid permit. Although we will do our best to post a notice in advance, there will be times it will be closed with no notice. No refunds or credits will be given for those times the beach is not accessible.
October 14 - October 31 - Permits will be sold at the Topsail Beach Police Department (812 S Anderson Blvd) Monday through Sunday from 8 am to 4 pm.
