In an effort to assist with the clean-up and recovery from Isaias, the Town will place two dumpsters at the Recycling Center for the collection of construction debris resulting from the storm. Residents and property owners can bring construction materials (i.e. shingles, siding, gutters, lumber) to this site at no charge. Other items, like vegetative debris, will still be collected as part of our normal bulk item pick-up (first and third Friday of the month).
The dumpsters will be at the Recycling Center starting Tuesday, August 11thand will remain until Monday, August 24th. Please remember this service is meant for our property owners and residents only and is for construction debris related to damage from Tropical Storm Isaias. New construction waste or waste from contracted services IS NOT PERMITTED.
If you prefer, construction debris can be taken to the Pender County Transfer Station in Pender County. You can contact them to find out what items they accept and their rates:
